The 21st annual crab feed will beSaturday Jan. 18 at the Scottish Rite Center, 6151 H St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.(and close at 11 p.m.) for the event themed: Absolutely Crabulous. On the menu, along with the crab, will be salad, pasta and clam chowder, plus assorted beverages: Beer, wine, soda, water and coffee. For dessert: An auction. Huntington's Disease Society of America. For the fifth year, the HDSA will sponsor a crab feed with Saturday Jan. 25 date for the 2014 event. The Blue Goose Fruit Shed at 3555 Taylor Road in downtown Loomis will be the setting for the feed; doors will open at 4 p.m. Hawaiian attire is suggested for the event, which will feature dance performances by Ka Waikahe Lani Malie. Crab, pasta, green salad and rolls are on the food menu (bring your own crab crackers and butter warmers); beer, wine, soda and water on the beverage side. King Crab tickets at $500 include table for four, emcee recognition, logos on banner and website. The Dungeness Crab fee of $1000 includes eight tickets, recognition, logos and eight drink coupons. The Royal at $1500 is good for 12 tickets, recognition, logos, two bottles of wine and premier seating. Individual tickets are $55. Fairytale Town. Special dates for the setting in William Land Park: The town wil be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday Jan. 20, Martin Luther King Jr. Day with special admission of $5 for adults and children age 2 and older. Saturday Feb. 1will be Sacramento Museum Day and Fairytale will be one of those marking the day with half-price admission ($2.50 for adults and children 2 and older).
