Plan on the next few years at Golden 1 Center to be filled with plenty of high-wire acts, monster trucks and Disney princesses.

The Golden 1 Center has entered into a five-year partnership with Feld Entertainment, the parent company of such traveling family entertainment shows as Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Monster Jam, Disney On Ice and more.

The first event in this partnership is a Disney On Ice production of “Passport to Adventure,” which will run at the Golden 1 Center from Nov. 2-6. Tickets go on sale to the public on Aug. 16.

Other entertainment productions in the Feld Entertainment portfolio include Marvel Universe LIVE!, Monster Energy Supercross, AMSOIL Arenacross and others.

Back at Sleep Train Arena, the Sacramento Kings’ former home, a Sept. 15-18 run of “Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents Out Of This World” will mark one of the last ticketed events at the Natomas arena.

Golden 1 Center is expected to host more than 200 events annually, a combination of Sacramento Kings games, concerts, family shows and more. The arena will debut on Oct. 4 with the first of two sold-out shows from Paul McCartney. The downtown area near the arena is meanwhile developing into a concentrated food and drink district, with more than 30 eateries and bars expected to open in and near the K Street corridor in the coming months.
