Festival time celebrates harvest

23rd annual Mountain Mandarin Festival

Where: Gold Country Fairgrounds, 1273 High St., Auburn

When: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19 and 20

Admission: $8; seniors (age 62 and up), $5; children (age 12 and younger) admitted free; parking, $6

Celebrate all things mandarin (as in citrus) during this locally grown food festival. Placer County master gardeners will be on hand to answer gardening questions and sell their 2017 calendar/gardening guide, “Healthy Habitats for People, Plants and Pollinators.”

Billed as “the original arts and craft show,” the beloved Harvest Festival returns to Cal Expo with hundreds of vendors selling handmade wares and decorative items.
