Farm-to-Fork Fest offers food for thought

Get into the farm-to-fork spirit at this large community festival celebrating Sacramento’s close relationship with food and agriculture. Lots of food trucks and other vendors will be on hand. Meet farmers and growers. Enjoy beer and wine gardens. Watch cooking demonstrations. There’s plenty of fun for kids, too. UC master gardeners will be on hand to answer gardening-related questions.

•  FRIENDS OF WINTERS LIBRARY IRIS SALE

Hosted by the Friends of the Winters Library, this sale features more than 115 named varieties of bearded irises. More than 1,000 rhizomes are divided up into nine basic colors with more than 80 color variations available. Prices are $2 to $5 per rhizome with discounts for volume. Sale ends when all are sold.

• SIXTH ANNUAL DAVIS RANCH GOURD FESTIVAL
