Mister Molson may have only months to live, but they may be the best months of his life.

Owner Tim Griffin and his family, of York County, Penn., have created a “bucket list” for the 12-year-old golden retriever, known casually as Molson, and are documenting his final adventures on an online blog.

Molson, who accompanies Griffin to work every day, has been diagnosed with cancer and it’s not clear how long he has left, Griffin writes on the blog.

“However, we hope to show Molson the amount of love he has shown us these past 12 years,” he writes. “For this reason, the kids and I have created a bucket list for Mister Molson. We hope to give him many more good memories before we have to say goodbye.”

Some of Molson’s completed adventures include playing in the snow, swimming in the ocean and hitching rides in convertibles, police cars, fire trucks and helicopters. He’s also gotten married – to a black lab named Josie owned by a family friend – gone camping, watched “Marley & Me” and marched in a parade.

Among his bucket list items still waiting to be checked off: Eat an entire ice cream sundae, be a lifeguard, have a dog party, visit New York’s Central Park and stay at a dog-friendly hotel.

“This blog is dedicated to preserving the memory of our beloved friend and for sharing the lessons we learn through the process of letting go,” Griffin writes in the blog. “To Mister Molson….the best dog I have ever known.”
