The San Joaquin County Fairgrounds will come alive with dozens of musical artists on on more than 13 stages at Xclamation Festival, or X Fest. Headlining acts include rapper T-Pain, punk band Suicidal Tendencies and many more.
The X Fest has been a yearly occurrence since 2000, bringing over 100,000 people to the streets of downtown Modesto.
This year, Stockton gets to host the event which gets going at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. Tickets for people 21 and older cost $20 in advance and $30 at the door. Hotel packages are $130.

Jazz in the Pines
What: More than two dozen artists will perform at the three-day Jazz in the Pines festival. Performers include pianist Diane Schuur and Haley Reinhart of “American Idol” fame.

What: The high-energy San Francisco Triathlon at Alcatraz will showcase competitive swimming, biking and running over 30 miles.

What: Redding will hold a nine-day celebration of more than 70 craft brews with events held throughout Shasta County.
