You won’t need a wand or broomstick to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the “Harry Potter” books today on Facebook.

(Yes, the first book in the epic series by J.K. Rowling debuted 20 years ago today. Accio feeling old?)

Simply type the words “Harry Potter” or the names of any of Hogwarts’ four houses – Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin – into a status update and post. Each name appears in its own color and reveals a magical surprise when clicked.

“Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,” released in the U.S. a year later as “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” was published on June 26, 1997. The book, about a young wizard’s adventures at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, became a seven-book series that also sparked a series of hit films.
