It will soon be showtime at a new theater in south Sacramento.
Regal Delta Shores 14 and IMAX will begin its grand opening celebration March 5, with regular engagements starting March 9.
The theater is holding charity events March 5-7, when movies, popcorn and soft drinks will be $3 each, according to a press release. Proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation of Sacramento, Sacramento Food Bank and Family Service, and Ronald McDonald House.
On March 8, there will be a special sneak preview of the Disney film “A Wrinkle in Time” at 9:30 p.m., according to a flyer posted at the theater.

Regal Delta Shores 14 and IMAX, 8136 Delta Shores Circle South in Sacramento, is one of nearly 70 businesses at Delta Shores, the 1.3 million-square-foot retail center along Interstate 5 at Cosumnes River Boulevard which opened last year. It joins UA Laguna 12, another Regal theater, and Cinemark Laguna 16 and XD as the south Sacramento and Elk Grove area’s options for moviegoers.
There are numerous Regal Cinemas locations in Sacramento and surrounding areas, including on Truxel Road, on Arden Way, in Roseville and in El Dorado Hills.
