The Sacramento French Film Festival will offer a daylong, five-movie, Mini Fall French Film Fest on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Crest Theatre. Screenings start at 1 p.m. with the coming-of-age film “Mustang” – France’s entry for the 2016 foreign-language Oscar – and culminates with a 9:25 p.m. showing of “Welcome to New York,” from controversial American filmmaker Abel Ferrara (“Bad Lieutenant”). Gérard Depardieu stars a French financier accused of rape in this story drawn from the real-life Dominique Strauss-Kahn scandal.
