For its second year, City of Trees has moved from a public park to a soccer pitch. Bonney Field at Cal Expo (1600 Exposition Blvd., Sacramento) is the new home of the one-day music festival, which debuted in 2015 at Gibson Ranch in Elverta. Alternative-rock favorites Weezer headline the 2016 version of City of Trees on Saturday, Sept. 10. Other acts at the event, hosted by Radio 94.7, include Panic! At the Disco, Phantogram, The Struts and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. Gates open at 1 p.m., and the music kicks off at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $54.50 in advance, $65 day of show. VIP tickets cost $109.50. For more information: cityoftrees.com/.
