UPDATE (Feb. 20): Garth Brooks’ publicist says that more than 84,000 tickets have been sold so far for the artist’s Sacramento shows.

In a shameless bid for more of our love, Garth Brooks has added two shows at Sacramento’s Sleep Train Arena, bringing the total to six.

Brooks already had booked four shows for March 27-29, including two shows on March 28. On Thursday, he added new shows, on March 31 and April 1.

Wife Trisha Yearwood is touring with Brooks, who is appearing in Sacramento for the first time in 18 years.

Tickets are $74.88 and go on sale at noon Feb. 20 through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com; 800-745-3000).

In November, long-in-hibernation superstar Brooks released his first studio album in 13 years, “Man Against Machine.” The album since has gone platinum.
