No wonder the Deftones’ debut album is called “Adrenaline.” That’s the fuel that got singer Chino Moreno through an onstage mishap in Belgium that might have led a lesser frontman to cancel the show immediately.

On April 29, the hard rock band was in the midst of rocking through “Elite,” a song that earned the Sacramento-born band a Grammy award in 2001. Moreno apparently broke his foot mid-song after getting up close with fans in the front rows. Moreno hobbled and fell to the floor of the stage for a moment, but the show didn’t cease. In fact, the band played 12 more tunes and finished the set.

A tweet from the band confirmed that Moreno had broken the top of his foot, and had to cancel a following show in Koln, Germany. But otherwise, the European leg of its “Gore” tour remains unaffected, with shows in England and Ireland through May 10.

The United States leg of its current tour kicks off June 9 in Chicago, and in its closest stop to the Sacramento area, will reach the Concord Pavilion on July 6.
