Sacramento has a date with Imagine Dragons.

According to tour dates posted on its Twitter feed, the popular alternative rock band will perform Oct. 4 at Golden 1 Center.

The band, best known for the hits “Radioactive,” “Demons” and “It’s Time,” will reach Sacramento as part of a fall “Evolve” tour.

The tour announcement arrives as Imagine Dragons revealed details this week for its upcoming album. The band announced via social media on Monday that its new album will be called “Evolve” and has a song ready for download titled “Whatever It Takes.”

Before headlining arenas in Sacramento, Imagine Dragons could be seen on smaller local stages. The band performed at the downtown music club Ace of Spades in 2012 and was a headliner at the former Launch Festival at Cesar Chavez Plaza in 2013.
