Kevin Seconds, Kepi Ghoulie and Noah Nelson

Rock/singer-songwriter

8 p.m. Friday, June 9

Naked Lounge Downtown (1111 H St.)

A lot has changed over the last couple of decades in the Sacramento music scene, but these three – as solo artists and the frontmen of such rock and punk acts 7Seconds, Groovie Ghoulies, Las Pesadillas and Radio Orangevale – are indelible. This should be a great one as they share the stage, play some tunes and tell some stories. $6. www.nakedcoffee.net

The Body

Metal/sludge

8 p.m. Monday, June 12

Starlite Lounge (1517 21st St.)

The Body, a Portland, Ore., duo (by way of Providence, R.I.), is not for the faint of heart. Like the entirety of these guys’ electronic-dressed sludge metal catalog, the sheer sonic terror percolating behind their latest album “No One Deserves Happiness” comes with a gripping, maniacal intensity achieved through the architectural precision that the group has honed over nearly 20 years. $15-$17. www.facebook.com

Electric Six

Rock/pop

7 p.m. Wednesday, June 14

Goldfield Trading Post (1630 J St.)

Trying to take Detroit collective Electric Six seriously is totally futile. They’re a ridiculous band in absolutely the best possible way, going more for sweaty, effervescent disco-grunge melees than for anything that might resemble poignancy. Sounds like something we could all use a dose of, no? $15. www.goldfieldtradingpost.com

Looking ahead: R Street Block Party. June 24 @ WAL Public Market

There will be some tasty tunes on tap from widely varied local acts Doombird, Sunmonks, Mondo Deco, Salt Wizard and more. And don’t forget the local vendors’ goods. www.rstreetblockparty.org
