The 42nd annual Father’s Day Bluegrass Festival brings some of the nation’s biggest names in that genre to the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley.

This year’s headliners include Bluegrass Hall-of-Famer Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver.

Beyond the talent on multiple stages, festivalgoers are drawn to workshops and to campground pickin’ sessions that can go deep into the night.

The stage shows kick off Thursday, June 15, and continue through Sunday, June 18. $10-$170. 11228 McCourtney Road, Grass Valley. www.cbaweb.org, www.fathersdayfestival.com
