The Center for the Arts
Affable folk pop crooner and Oakdale native Brett Dennen is known to often sneak some philanthropic benefit shows into his touring schedule, but this one rates especially high on “the feels.” All proceeds from this gig are going to the family of 2-year-old Lola Alvarez of Grass Valley, who is battling cancer. $47 general/ $82 VIP reserved seating with meet-and-greet. www.thecenterforthearts.org.

Psychedelic L.A. fuzz merchants Wand went big with the September release of the crafty “Plum,” a record loaded with pliable garage rock hooks and playfully discombobulated keys reminiscent of fellow psych-rock acts like Temples. Championed by garage godfather Ty Segall, Wand looks to be hitting a wildly creative stride after five short but eventful years. Sacramento’s Grave Lake opens. Doors 7 p.m. $12 adv./$15 door. www.davislivemusic.com.
