Sacramento fans planning to see James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt at Golden 1 Center on June 3, it’s now a one-act show: Raitt announced Monday she is canceling her appearances in the first leg of the summer tour, which included the Sacramento performance.

Raitt cited health reasons for her time off from the tour. According to a news release from ID-PR and Raitt's website, after a recent physical she learned she needed to schedule surgery. However, she said, “I fully expect to return for the second leg of the US tour in June followed by our European tour in July.”

"I'm deeply sorry to have to disappoint my fans, James and colleagues with these cancellations," she said. "I'm feeling strong and am in great hands with my wonderful team."

The first leg of the tour is now billed as an “Evening with James Taylor and His All-Star Band,” and will consist of two sets with a short intermission.

Ticket holders who want to seek a refund to a show affected by the announcement were advised to do so through the original point of purchase.
