R&B singer-songwriter Khalid announced that he will be making a stop in Sacramento on his first North American tour.

Khalid will be performing at the Golden 1 Center on June 29 as a part of the tour promoting his second album “Free Spirit,” which is set to release Friday.

The 21-year-old breakout from El Paso, Texas, rose to fame after the release of the album “American Teen.” The album included the song “Location,” which went quadruple platinum after rising to No. 16 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in July 2016.

Claire Cottrill, professionally known as Clairo, will be joining Khalid on tour as a special guest. The music video to her 2107 lo-fi song “Pretty Girl” gathered more than 30 million views on YouTube and helped get her signed to a professional label.

Tickets to the show go on sale Friday. Fans who purchase tickets online will also receive a copy of “Free Spirit.”
