Sacramento rock band Cake will have a September tour with Ben Folds that includes a hometown stop at the Golden 1 Center, according to Goldenvoice.

The show on Sept. 11 will be the group’s first in Sacramento in nearly a decade. The rock band was formed in Sacramento in 1991 and has risen to international fame over the past three decades.

For Ben Folds fans, the artist will be offering a VIP experience where he will teach a masterclass, conduct a Q&A and sign copies of his new memoir, “A Dream About Lightning Bugs - A Life of Music and Cheap Lessons.”

Cake and Ben Folds had a successful summer tour last year, and are reuniting to bring it to the West Coast, with stops including Mountain View, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The tour also includes shows in Oregon, Texas, Montana, Idaho and Washington.
