The two-day Aftershock music festival got underway at Sacramento’s Discovery Park this afternoon.
Temperatures are forecast to hit 100 degrees this afternoon, but the heat did not seem to be affecting early attendance at the festival. Rock band Weezer headlines Saturday’s slate of 23 bands presented on three stages. The festival continues Sunday.
Roughly 19,000 are expected to attend the festival on each day. The festival was presented at Discovery Park as a one day festival in 2012, and a two day festival last year.
