The nationally touring Kinfolks Soul Food Festival makes a stop at Gibson Ranch on Saturday, Sept. 19, for a day of good eats and entertainment. In addition to vendors featuring traditional soul food, the event will host cooking competitions for local chefs; categories include best fried chicken, best greens, best macaroni and cheese and best sweet potato pie. The afternoon also includes performances from Bobby Brown, Monica, Freddy Jackson, Loose Ends and Evelyn “Champagne” King.
