Miners Foundry

One of hip-hop’s most vibrant, progressive and inventive lyricists, Del the Funky Homosapien, leads his Underground Ohona Tour with a cast of emcees that includes fellow members of Bay Area troupe Hieroglyphics – co-founder A-Plus and Domino – and frequent collaborator Knobody. Also performing will be Scarub from Living Legends, Pure Powers, Darrow, Nohokai and Galactik Vibes. 325 Spring St., Nevada City. $22.

Andrew Castro

6 p.m. Saturday,

March 12

Last year, Sacramento-bred pop crooner Andrew Castro set out to release four EPs in one year. Saturday night, he completes the goal with the unveiling of “Tell Me in Your Words,” a four-song collection of duets with fellow local singers Xochitl, Sandra Dolores, Ruby J and Rebecca Peters. Doors 5:30 p.m. 2708 J St., Scramento. $10.

Eli Young Band

7 p.m. Thursday,

March 17

Ace of Spades

While best known for its country hit “Crazy Girl” from 2011, it’s somewhat of a marvel that the song is listed as Eli Young Band’s fifth official single, and it comes from their fourth full-length album. After spending the better chunk of the ’00s as a tried-and-true opening act, the 2010s are this band’s time to shine. 1417 R St., Sacramento. $25.

Looking ahead: Lyle Lovett & Robert Earl Keen. Friday, March 25 at Mondavi Center

These two juggernaut songwriters have been besties since their college days. Slap them together on the same stage, and the results are sure to dazzle. 1 Shields Ave., Davis. $17.50-$72.
