Maybe there’s something in our farm-to-fork water?
Sacramento teen Adam Wadhwani beat out thousands of kids across the country just to get on MasterChef Junior. Now the Sutter Middle School 8th grader is one of six kids remaining on MasterChef Junior competing to win the $100,000 grand prize.
Adam began cooking while living with his family in Denmark, separated from friends. His natural skill, a healthy intellectual curiosity, and that time alone to cook, has helped him survive several rounds of eliminations on the reality cooking show.
Adam, 14, said he survived his run in with the world-renowned, but famously ill tempered, chef Gordon Ramsay. He said Ramsay caused him to spill some tears in the competition kitchen but said Ramsay’s passion was aimed at making the contestants better cooks.
