Back in April, an unexpected guest showed up at Rio Americano High School’s prom: reality TV star Kylie Jenner. She went to prom with student Albert Ochoa.

However there weren’t a whole lot of details available about how it happened. But now, Jenner’s new E! docu-series “Life of Kylie,” shows how it happened. The first episode of the show premiered on Sunday.

In the episode, Jenner’s best friend Jordyn Woods put Jenner in touch with Ochoa’s mom over Facetime.

“Albert is so amazing. He’s really an amazing kid. He’s very emotional. He’s so grateful for anything that happens in his life. He has abandonment issues because his dad left when he was, like, 6,” his mom explained to Jenner over FaceTime, according to Life and Style magazine. “So I think he forgets how to be a kid. I don’t think he knows how.”

On the show, while talking about Ochoa, Jenner says that she relates to him: “I have a soft spot for the outcast because I was the outcast I guess in a lot of ways growing up.”

In interviews, Jenner has mentioned that she wanted to go to prom. Jenner revealed on the show that being home-schooled was not her choice and that she would have wanted to go to prom like a normal high school student, according to Elite Daily.

However, the trip to Sacramento had some obstacles. Her private plane malfunctioned moments before it took off for Sacramento and was worried about being harassed by paparazzi at the regular airport, according to Elite Daily.

The conclusion of Jenner’s prom trip with Ochoa isn’t shown in the first episode of the series. That will be in the second episode, according to Elite Daily.

Ochoa said that Jenner was pleasant to be around.

“She's a really sweet and genuine person,” Ochoa told E! News. “When you see her on shows and stuff you really don't get to see that like face to face. And I really thought she was sweet and genuine.”

Reality television personality and social media star Kylie Jenner has officially parted ways with her home in Calabasas, selling the renovated two-story for $3.15 million. Take a look.
