There have been a lot of changes in the television broadcast landscape of Sacramento. Here's a look at the past six months, who's come and who's gone where.

Joe Musso made his on-air debut as CBS13’s new sports reporter on Jan. 16 following a 1,800-mile drive from the middle of corn country.

Musso joins CBS13 after covering University of Nebraska athletics teams over the last two years as a sports reporter, anchor and producer with 1011 News, the CBS affiliate in Lincoln. When not reporting from a court or field, Musso anchored and produced the station’s weekend morning show and covered breaking news.

The Chicago native spent four years as a wide receiver on Illinois Wesleyan University’s football team, earning a captain role after being named to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin second team as a junior. He also served as sports editor for the campus paper, The Argus, and contributed radio color commentary for baseball and basketball games while earning a degree in English and a minor in business administration.

After graduating in 2012, Musso spent two years working for Comcast SportsNet Chicago as an intern, production assistant and associate producer before enrolling in a master’s program at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and earning his M.S. in 2015.
