For those who crave a food coma before noon, this burrito is for you.
On Thursday, March 23, Del Taco will unleash a whopper of a breakfast burrito, one that weighs more than a pound – 17 ounce to be exact – and is loaded with the following ingredients: Chorizo, scrambled eggs, pinto beans, roasted chile salsa, avocado, cheddar cheese and sour cream that’s nestled between two corn tortillas and wrapped again in an oversized flour tortilla.
As for the calorie count for the Huevos Rancheros Epic Burrito, we’re still waiting to hear back from Del Taco representatives with the results.
According to the Orange County Register, this monster morning meal, priced at $4.99, was test marketed in Palm Springs and Southern California’s Inland Empire before being brought to Sacramento and other cities. Think of it as a massive gut bomb that’s being lobbed into the increasingly competitive battle over the fast food breakfast market.
