Tickets for the inaugural Craft Beer Summit and Brewers Showcase in September go on sale Wednesday, with a variety of options and prices available to casual beer fans, aspiring beer professionals and those looking to simply improve their knowledge to keep up with the craft beer boom.
The array of events will include hands-on seminars, beer tastings, food pairings and the chance to interact with some of the top brewers in the business. Tom McCormick, executive director of the California Craft Brewers Association, has described the summit as “a premier beer event in the country” that someday could rival the Great American Beer Festival in Denver and the Oregon Brewers Festival in Portland.
“This is a golden ticket into the world of craft brewing,” McCormick said in a press release for the launch of ticket sales. “This type of access to experienced brewers, and insight into the culture and creativity of craft brewing is unheard of. When you live in a state that is overwhelmingly passionate about the art of craft beer, you don’t expect tickets to last for long.”
Ticket packages for the Sept. 11-12 events will range from $60 to $239, with the pricier options offering VIP access. While tickets go on sale Wednesday, complete details of speakers and events will not be finalized until May, according to the press release.
