Hey Sacramento, you’re No. 1. Maybe it’s not in terms of basketball, but when it comes to wine country you are the tops. In a survey conducted by Food & Wine magazine and the Redfin real estate blog, Sacramento’s ranks tops in the country as the most affordable city to live near wine country.
According the survey, the median sale price for a home in the Sacramento area is $235,000. The methodology included counting the number of nearby vineyards and tasting rooms, along with crunching real estate data.
Says Redfin agent Jeff Werolin in the survey:
“From large scale producers to small artisan wineries, the area has it all. It’s almost hard to believe that these beautiful vineyards and fantastic wine events are just right here in our backyard. There is a lot to explore.”
