Let’s say you want to get into the habit of eating a healthful-type breakfast each morning. Well, most mornings. Save Sundays for pancakes and bacon. And maybe some sausage. Anyway, one health-conscious thought is granola poured into a cup of yogurt.

I’ve tried lots of brands of each, finally settling on the pairing of Chobani yogurt (the lemon flavor is tops, with passion fruit a close second) with certified kosher Baked-brand House Blend granola from a small bakery in Brooklyn.

The granola ingredients are impressively tasty and crunchy: “Whole rolled oats, almonds, hazelnuts, dried cherries, organic golden raisins, honey, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and salt.” Get a 12-ounce bag for $7 at Sur La Table at the Fountains shopping center in Roseville. As for Chobani yogurt, it’s everywhere for $1 to $1.80 per, depending on where you’re shopping.
