This just in: A new study shows that eating chocolate can reverse “age-related memory loss,” according to a story in the online magazine Nature Neuroscience.

Which is reason enough to make the sweet trip to the fifth annual Fall Chocolate Salon. There, chocolate-lovers will find dozens of chocolatiers offering artisanal and gourmet delights, while live music plays in the background and premium reds and whites are poured.

The tasting party is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 22 at Fort Mason Center, Marina Boulevard and Buchanan Street, San Francisco; (415) 345-7500, Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.

The fall fest is the “little sister” to the annual San Francisco Chocolate Salon next March at Fort Mason.
