Sunday’s cover story in Feast was a profile of Keith Breedlove, who’s triumphing over Asperger’s Syndrome and taking his cooking skills to national airwaves. Breedlove and his wife Amy run the Culinerdy Cruzer, a food truck specializing in hefty sized burgers and sandwiches, which harken to Keith Breedlove’s time as a corporate chef for Guy Fieri’s restaurant group.
Breedlove made an October appearance on “Guy’s Grocery Games,” and now this budding celebrity chef is set for another Food Network appearance. Breedlove will be featured at 10 p.m. Sunday on the latest episode of “Cutthroat Kitchen” titled “Sabotage is Comin’ to Town.” A non-disclosure agreement prevents Breedlove from divulging too many details, but we can expect many holiday flavored hijinks.
“But I can say this,” Breedlove told The Bee. “I did something that as of the filming of my show, nobody has done before.”
Hmmm ... we’ll chew on that for now. But if you’d like to watch the show with Breedlove himself, the self-professed “Culinerd” will be hosting a viewing party to watch the east coast feed. The shenanigans start at 5 p.m. Sunday at Elk Grove ARIA (9766 Waterman Rd., Ste. H; Elk Grove). The Culinerdy Cruzer truck will be on hand, with some proceeds of food sales going towards Elk Grove ARIA and its performing arts education.
