If you dine at fast-food restaurants, El Pollo Loco is a relatively good choice. The restaurants specialize in fresh chicken marinated in citrus juices, herbs and spices, butterflied into halves and flame-grilled.
Now the national chain has added chile-lime shrimp to the menu, through March 11. It arrives four ways: By burrito ($6.50), tostada ($6.80), bowl ($5.50) and tacos ($6 for two). Dressing up the dishes – depending on which you order – are avocado, pinto beans, rice, jack cheese, cilantro dressing, cabbage, pico de gallo, onions, mango salsa, lime and cilantro
