The out-of-the-box restaurant chain P.F. Chang’s China Bistro is reaching into the past to bring back a small menu of “Local Favorites,” now through July 12. The Sacramento store – part of the 210-restaurant chain in 38 states – offers lemon pepper shrimp ($18), Dali chicken: $16) and red wine-pepper braised beef ($17).
Lemon pepper shirmp is “wok-crisped shrimp stir-fried with celery, bean sprouts, scallions and fresh lemon slices in an aromatic black pepper sauce.” Dali chicken is “slices of chicken breast wok-tossed with dried red chilies, potatoes and scallions in spicy sauce.” The braised beef is “marinated flank steak wok-seared with sliced potatoes, broccolini, Napa cabbage, grape tomatoes and Fresno peppers served with red wine pepper sauce.”
We wondered why the bring-back. “Our restaurant teams interact with our guests every day and know which dishes they have heart for,” said Nevielle Panthaky, the chain’s vice president of culinary innovation. “The Local Favorites menu provides an opportunity for us to offer guests in their local communities the dishes they’ve been craving.”
