Sacramento’s celebrations as “America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital” wrapped up just a few months ago, but it’s already time for locavores and food enthusiasts to mark their calendars. The 2015 edition of the “Farm-to-Fork Celebration” will run from Sept. 10 through Sept. 27, about two-and-a-half weeks of the spotlight on local foods and purveyors. Many of the details are being worked out, but here’s what’s planned thus far:
* Farm-to-Fork Restaurant Weeks from Sept. 10 through Sept. 27, with local food specials and more at area restaurants.
* Farm-to-Fork Legends of Wine: Sept. 17, with a tasting led by Darrell Corti and David Berkley at the State Capitol.
* Farm-to-Fork Festival: Capitol Mall will host thousands on Sept. 26 for a free event that includes local foods, information from area ranchers and farmers, and more.

* Farm-to-Fork Gala: The Sept. 27 event will bring together local movers and shakers for an upper-end feast on a local landmark. This dinner has traditionally been held on the Tower Bridge, with tickets for the 2014 feast selling out in just a few minutes.
A new major sponsor has also come on board for 2015. The luxury car company Lexus will present both the Restaurants Weeks and Legends of Wine portion of the celebrations. The California Restaurant Association was the previous sponsor of the Restaurant Weeks, but will support in a different capacity this year.
