Video: Who makes the best clam chowder in Bodega Bay?

On the last Saturday in January, for the past 12 years, the coastal town of Bodega Bay has hosted the quick-to-sell-out Chowder Day, which give the public a chance to taste the clam chowders at restaurants around the fishing village and vote for their favorites.

This year, I joined four other judges in the inaugural blind-tasting and judging of the clam chowders submitted by 11 participating restaurants.

This first-ever judging was arranged by Sissy Blanchard, the president of the Bodega Bay Chamber of Commerce.

Our top-three choices were Fishetarian, Fisherman’s Cove and Spud Point Crab Co.
