It might be wholesome in Folsom, as the locals sometimes say, but the pickings for food tend to be pretty slim at the Folsom Premium Outlets. For those who crave a more robust eating experience than Taco Bell or TCBY yogurt while scanning the sales racks at the Vans Outlet or Calvin Klein, some relief is on the way.
A variety of food trucks will make the Folsom Premium Outlets their lunch destination on weekends starting April 1. This mobile food round-up is assembled by Off The Grid, a Bay Area company that also produces food truck events around the Sacramento area including The Barn in West Sacramento and the Crocker Art Museum. In August, Off the Grid launched a food truck round-up each Saturday at Folsom Premium Outlets, but with sunny weather mostly returned and a dependable clientele of hungry shoppers, this weekly affair will now expand to both Saturdays and Sundays.
The lineup of trucks slated for the Folsom Premium Outlets include: Flavor Face, Sophia’s Mini Kitchen, Gyro King, Turnt Up Tacos, Slyderz Grill, OMG Yogurt, Cousins Maine Lobster Napa, Chando’s Tacos, Latin Flame, Dojo Burger, Azteca, and El Ajicito.
This mix of mobile food vendors will be running on weekends starting April 1 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. For more information: www.offthegrid.com/sacramento
