Karen Holmes is an acclaimed baker. Her son, Duncan Holmes, is a Michelin-starred chef. But when the pro cyclists out training for the Amgen Tour of California drop by Karen’s Bakery in Folsom for coffee, she gets more than a little excited.
Check out the video to see what she thinks of having so many of the world’s top pros stop by here bakery. On Friday, Marcel Kittel, the German superstar sprinter, and his Quick Step team, sat on the patio halfway through a four-hour training ride.

Then seven-day men’s race starts Sunday in Sacramento. The women’s third stage will finish in Sacramento on Saturday and they’ll be back Sunday for a circuit race featuring numerous high-speed laps around Capitol Park on Sunday.
