Tequila Herradura, a premium Mexican spirit, will be served at Golden 1 Center during concerts and all Sacramento Kings home games for the next three years.

The Sacramento Kings announced a partnership Tuesday with Brown-Forman, a company that produces and markets fine spirits, to bring the tequila brand to the downtown arena.

A permanent Casa Herradura stand will be located on the arena concourse, just inside the Grand Entrance, according to the team’s news release.

“We are thrilled to partner with Brown-Forman to introduce Tequila Herradura to Golden 1 Center,” John Rinehart, the Kings’s chief of business operations, said in the release. “Casa Herradura will provide fans with a premium beverage experience that complements our commitment to delivering world-class entertainment and hospitality.”

Casa Herradura’s tequila is distilled “using traditional production methods such as the most mature blue agave, clay ovens and fermenting naturally with wild yeast,” according to the company. “Only naturally occurring airborne yeast produced by the agave plantations and fruit trees surrounding the distillery influence the fermentation process.”

The distillery — founded in 1870 and considered one of Mexico’s most historic and renowned tequila producers, according to the company — is located in Amatitán, Jalisco.

The partnership will also debut a specialty cocktail named the “Royalrita.” Fans will be able to order the cocktail or include Tequila Herradura in other drinks served at the arena.

“Sacramento is a key market for Tequila Herradura, and we are extremely excited to enter into this new partnership with the Sacramento Kings,” said Joie Pompilio, the brand’s marketing manager. “With the Casa Herradura Bar and our featured cocktail, the Royalrita, available to all of the guests and fans at Golden 1 Center, we look forward to a long-term relationship and to toasting victories with Kings fans for years to come.”

The Royalrita and other Tequila Herradura beverages will be available starting Tuesday night as the Kings host the Oklahoma City Thunder, the top team in the NBA.
