Winchester Country Club gives residents all the opportunity to gather, connect and develop a true sense of community in a setting that is as beautiful as it is adventurous. On the renowned golf course, in the spectacular 35,000-square-foot clubhouse or in your own backyard, you can feel the sense of community and connectivity.

As said best by “Big” Mike Williams, who with his wife Sue, have lived in Winchester for 10 years. “The golf course and the beauty have stood up to time,” Williams says. “But the reason we love living in Winchester is the community. This is our 11th home in 35 years of marriage and we have never lived in a community where we have so many true friends.”

Residents agree that the spectacular location and amenities were what first attracted them to the Winchester. Close enough to the urban and cultural amenities of San Francisco and Sacramento, yet far enough away to enjoy the serenity of the expansive beauty of the Sierra Nevada foothills, Winchester residents are realizing the added bonus of the connections.

Winchester offers so many ways for residents to meet and enjoy a community of people with shared interests. The clubhouse offers many social events, including live music and special themed dinners. The golf course will delight even the most discerning golfer. Avid skiers can conquer the mountain at Squaw Valley and Tahoe ski resorts. Hikers can explore the area and even join in group hikes. The seemingly outdoor recreational opportunities give residents a way to connect with both nature and people.

As fall approaches and the air gets crisper, the landscape at Winchester has begun to change with a backdrop of spectacular fall colors. What better time to invite the neighbors over for an evening on the patio, or enjoy a special wine-paired dinner at the Clubhouse while the sun sets in the distance. Winchester is a fun and friendly community without pretense. It’s a place where you can be connected in multiple ways, experiencing all the community has to offer. This is the community you have been waiting for.
