With the economic recession of the last few years squarely in the rear-view mirror, the homebuilding industry has turned a corner and is looking ahead with a renewed sense of optimism.
Just last night, the North State BIA hosted the 42nd edition of the Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence or MAME Awards at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Sacramento. This signature annual event recognizes members of the homebuilding industry for exceptional efforts in 51 areas different areas.
There are 147 new communities throughout the region, offering potential homebuyers an array of attractive housing from which to choose. Each week, homebuilders report more and more consumers visiting these communities. And we’re clearly seeing this process come full circle, as our industry continues to tally strong sales numbers each month. The trajectory for our industry is a positive one and we certainly hope it stays that way – and improves even more – in the foreseeable future.
A major part of the success we’re seeing is, of course, a vibrant economy and low interest rates, which when coupled together create a sort of home buying perfect storm. However, just as important is the tireless work that so many members of the homebuilding industry put in to their respective projects. And while I’ve often commented that this industry is made up of some of the humblest professionals I’ve encountered, it is more than appropriate to toast your own from time to time.
