Tacos, beer, music, and even Lucha libre wrestling are all coming together when Sabroso hits Sacramento for the first time.
Sabroso Craft Beer, Taco & Music Festival comes to Papa Murphy's Park on April 8. The event includes music by The Offspring, Pennywise, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, The Vandals, Unwritten Law and Los Kung Fu Monkeys.
This is the fifth year of the festival, which started in Orange County, but the first year that it has toured. The event also will hit Denver, Albuquerque, N.M., Tuscon, Ariz., Auburn, Wash., and Portland, Ore.
Last year, the festival drew 8,500 people to Doheny State Beach in Dana Point. John Reese, president of Synergy Global Entertainment, thinks the local event could top 11,000 attendees.

"Everybody loves beer and everybody loves tacos and everybody loves music," said Reese. "So when you put the three together and throw in some Lucha libre, some eating contests, and then just a cool vibe and great venues, I think people just want to flock and come see it."
Unlimited beer tastings are included with festival admission (the event is 21 and over until 4 p.m.). Breweries scheduled to offer samples include 21st Amendment Brewery, Fort Rock Brewing and Heretic Brewing Company.
What about the food? Azteca Street Tacos, Chando's Tacos, Drewski's Hot Rod Kitchen and It's Nacho Truck are among the vendors.
Lucha libre-style wrestling stars will compete in four qualifying matches and the final Champion Match.
"You can go to a concert and just see a band and so forth, but something like this is, it's an ingrained event that's got the lifestyle of eating tacos, drinking beer and music, and I think most Californians dig that," Reese said.
