Citrus Heights job fairs geared toward skilled trades and teens

The Roseville-based North State Building Industry Foundation will hold its annual Skilled Trades Job Fair on Saturday in Citrus Heights.

It will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Citrus Heights Community Center, 6300 Fountain Square Drive.

The fair is geared toward workers and employers in the homebuilding and construction trades, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning; plumbing; framing; concrete; electrical; and solar.

More than 30 employers from throughout the Sacramento-area are scheduled to be on-site, seeking to fill positions in entry-level labor, project management and support staff.

From noon to 2 p.m. at the same site, the foundation is hosting a hiring event for graduating high school seniors who will be turning 18 this summer. Seventeen trade employers will be on-site looking to fill entry-level trades positions, everything from foundation to finishing work. More than 100 positions will be available to students, organizers said.
