November 30, 2006 -- If you're looking for the best place in town to spend your New Year's Eve then look no further than Silver Legacy Resort Casino.
Kick-off the New Year's weekend with Kathy Griffin in the Grande Exposition Hall on December 28 at 8 p.m. Known for her rapid fire wit and most recently her solo reality show Kathy Griffin: My Life On The D-List, Griffin's stage act invariably consists of recounting events involving celebrities. Her favorite celebrity topics are plastic surgery, Scientology, drunkenness, substance abuse, snooty attitudes, eating disorders, and stars whose sexual orientation is often disputed.
Also on tap for the weekend is Cedric "The Entertainer" on December 30 in the Grande Exposition Hall at 8 p.m. Cedric is best known for his crowd-pleasing roles in the recent hit films Barbershop, Be Cool, Madagascar, Intolerable Cruelty and The Original Kings of Comedy, MTV'S documentary feature directed by Spike Lee. Cedric also starred in and produced the box office hit Johnson Family Vacation and can be heard as the voice of Golly the Goose in the upcoming movie Charlotte's Web. Cedric has celebrated many career successes spanning television, live performances and film, and in 2001 a viewing audience of over 144 million saw Cedric star in the Bud Light commercial that landed in the #1 spot during the Super Bowl broadcast.
In addition to great comedic entertainment, a fantastic lineup of events are planned to welcome 2007 with a bang, including live music from Area 51 at the Rockin' the Dome Dance Party, where the Silver Baron Ballroom will be transformed into the hippest party in town. At midnight, indoor fireworks and a confetti blizzard will surround you in the resort casino's famous dome. New Year's Eve party favors will be given out so everyone can participate in the fun, and don't forget to make your New Year's resolution before the midnight champagne toast. Tickets are only $40 per person and include all of the above plus one free drink.

It's the best place in town to participate in a night of hilarious interactive musical entertainment. Everyone is inspired to become part of the fun as the bar's Rum Runners and Rum Tenders hop on the pianos to lead the audience through dance moves.
