1. VILLINES AT PRESS CLUB VO/SOT
Assembly Republican Leader Mike Villines (R-Clovis) is the guest at this month's Sacramento Press Club Lunch. He is expected to discuss the state budget which is due to pass the legislature by tomorrow, which is highly unlikely, among other topics. Efforting soundbites and video.
2. PRISON SELECT COMMITTEE HEARING VO/SOT
The Assembly Select Committee on prisons will discuss oversight of the transfer of California inmates to private prisons that are out of state. A judge recently approved such transfers which had been challenged and the legislature approved a prison plan that included allowing for such transfers until adequate space is available for prisoners and rehabilitation in state facilities. 3. FOSTER KID HEARING VO/SOT
The Assembly Select Committee on Foster Care will conduct a hearing to determine whether bills signed last year to improve services for children in foster care and those who have turned 18 and left the program have been properly implemented. Efforting soundbites and video.
4. MARINE RECRUITING OFFICER CHANGES VO/SOT
The Commanding Officer of Sacramento's United States Marine Recruiting Station which serves much of Northern California will give up his command to another officer in a ceremony at the State Capitol. Efforting soundbites and video.

The Department of General Services notified Capitol officials to conserve power after a heating and cooling systems failure at a Central Power Plant that serves the State Capitol and other nearby state buildings. Efforting soundbites and video.
