It's Friday the 13th -- already the second time that's happened in 2007.
It's also Day 13 of the new fiscal year. Still no budget.Budget or not, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is off to sunny Florida to make an appearance at a global warming conference alongside fellow moderate GOP Gov. Charlie Crist.
Crist is set to sign global warming legislation similar to California's.
Also of note: The tagline on both Crist's and Schwarzenegger's official gubernatorial Web pages is "The People's Governor."

Hey, if it works, it works.
While in Florida, Schwarzenegger will headline a fundraiser for the Florida Republican Party.
That's a move likely to stick in the craw of some California conservatives who have been urging the governor to do more for the California Republican Party.
As of the end of June, the Calif. Republican Party remained $3 million in debt, much of it incurred in 2006 when the party spent heavily during Schwarzenegger's re-election campaign.
The governor has hosted one state Republican Party fundraiser in 2007. A second was canceled.
