1. BUDGET IN SENATE VO/SOT

The Senate will convene this morning to presumably vote for the Republican's version of the budget the President Pro Tempore asked them to prepare. Republicans have proposed several spending cuts to welfare and other programs, without impacting education or law enforcement, as rhetoric and name calling among the two parties has escalated. 2. AIR BOARD REGULATIONS VO/SOT

The California Air Resources Board will reconsider a decision that would mandate heavy equipment operators to reduce diesel emissions from back hoes and other construction equipment by 2020. Businesses in California claim they want to meet the goals but won't realistically be able to do so until 2025. Retrofitting the equipment is expected to cost construction contractors more than three billion dollars. Efforting soundbites and video.

3. COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN VO/SOT

The California Commission on the Status of Women will meet at the State Capitol for discussions regarding the status of lesbians in California and its relevance. Another discussion will focus on sexualization of young girls in the media. Efforting soundbites and video.
