Both the Senate Democrats and Republicans caucused on Monday to discuss the budget impasse. The Republicans are scheduled to meet again this morning.
Senate Republican Leader Dick Ackerman said Monday he is talking to his Assembly counterpart about options for bringing the lower house back.
Ackerman said he spoke with Assembly GOP leader Mike Villines twice Monday because he feels work needs to be done on budget, trailer bill and bond implementation language.
