1. LAND USE REPORT VO/SOT

The California Energy Commission has released its final report regarding land use and how that will effect California's increasing demand for energy and goals for reducing greenhouse gases, mandated by the law signed last year to reduce emissions 25 percent by 2020. Efforting soundbites and video.

2. INTERESTING BILLS VO/SOT

Legislation including a ban on parents smoking in their cars with their children is expected to be taken up today in the state legislature. Session is scheduled to end next Friday, with a two day break next week for Rosh Hoshana. Efforting soundbites and video.

3. NUCLEAR INITIATIVE SIGNATURES VO/SOT

The proponent of a ballot initiative to allow nuclear power plants in California to be authorized once again is able to begin gathering signatures to qualify the measure for one of next year's elections. Efforting soundbites and video.

4. ANTI WAR RALLY VO/SOT

Anti war activists are expected to rally this afternoon against the war in Iraq. The rally will start after the CTNS feed, but groups are expected to march to the Capitol from other points in Sacramento. CTNS will effort soundbites and video from pre rally marches.
