The Delta Vision Blue Ribbon Task Force starts its first day of two days of meetings, collecting and discussing reports from agencies including the California Department of Fish and Game ands the Department of Water Resources on how to achieve and manage sustainability of the San Francisco Bay Delta, the source of about 2/3 of the state's fresh water supply. 5. GLOBAL WARMING EARLY ACTION VO/SOT
The California Air Resources Board will consider adopting six new "early action" strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as required by legislation signed by the governor last year. The law requires the state to reduce its total greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by the year 2020. The California Air Resources Board has been empowered to create new regulations to achieve that goal. Efforting soundbites and video.
