Weight loss group meets

The Merced Bariatric Weight Loss Support Group meets the 15th of each month, unless it is a Saturday or Sunday, in which case the group meets the Friday before at 7 p.m. at 315 Mercy Ave., third floor, class A. Call (209)261-6333.

Menudo served Sundays

Club Mercedes will serve menudo every Sunday through the NFL season at the club; doors open at 8 a.m. and close at 12 p.m. or when the menudo runs out. Cost is $7 for a small bowl or $8 for a large bowl; beverages available for extra cost. No menudo Oct. 20. Call (209)383-9906.

Low Vision Awareness Day

The Center for the Blind and Low Vision will hold a Low Vision Awareness Day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Merced Senior Center, 755 W. 15th St. Admission is free and open to all ages. Free vision exams, flu shots and a leading ophthalmologist will speak on treatments for retinal disease.

Remembrance Walk set

Everyone is invited to participate in the 5th annual Riley Brothers Victims’ Remembrance Walk at 12 p.m. Oct. 12 in the FoodMaxx parking lot, 1300 W. Olive Ave. Come and walk with us as we remember our loved ones.

All Hallows Fantasy Faire

SONORA The All Hallows Fantasy Faire will be held Oct. 18 from 7 p.m. until 12 a.m., Oct. 19 from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Oct. 20 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds, 220 Southgate Drive. ‘A View from the Bridge’

Class of 1978 reunion

Pancake breakfast planned
